Portland Cello Project (PCP) that is. What could be better than a free show? How about free wine and free food? Get, essentially, your own private Portland Cello Project show (intimate, classy and acoustic, no less), and there will be wine tasting ( Sokol Blosser Vineyards ) and food by Chez Joly . The show is sponsored by the South Waterfront, (all of those new buildings you see beneath OHSU). Space is very limited, so you have to RSVP to communityrelations@southwaterfront.com for tickets. There are only 80 spots available so act now!Cello Project that night will be a 6tet, which will be a lot of cellos for the small room, and our emcee Adam Shearer will join us to make the event more merry. We might preview some new stuff that we're planning on playing on our December 5 show as well. Join a group of volunteers on a done-in-a-day project led by a Hands On Greater Portland project leader. No advance training or ongoing commitment required, so sign up and participate in a project that fits your schedule. Need help signing up? Call 503-413-7787. Portland Community Gardens provides garden space and educational events within Portland's neighborhoods. Each month we are working in the common areas of a local garden -- pruning, planting, weeding, and more. Please dress for the weather, bring garden/work gloves if you have them, and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. This project is great for families.
