There were some interesting tidbits in today's news: a backyard favorite is listed as a harmful invader—don't be fooled by the butterflies and sweet fragrance, this plant is a killer. USPS is raising its shipping rates. This year, it really pays to ship things during, not after, the holidays. Metropolis Cycle Shop and Pedal Bike Tours share a new North Portland space. You might say it's a tandem arrangement. (eyeroll) A Portland holiday tradition goes green with the help of LED lighting. And, finally, proposed height changes in Old Town's historic district draws national attention.
