A Night on the Town

December 2, 2008. Portland, ORE., Take the opportunity to savor the season with your friends and enjoy an evening of indulgence at In Good Taste; Chef Dan Brophy pulls out all the stops in a sumptuous, indulgent evening of food and wine

 

tis the season to indulge, and Dan Brophy knows the best way to do it. In an upcoming class at In Good Taste, Chef Brophy unveils a menu to top all menus, featuring succulent Caviar on Warm Blini with an airy Crème Fraîche, perfectly paired with champagne, melt -in- your- mouth Dungeness Crab and Shrimp cakes, creamy Smoked Salmon Mousse on Artichoke Bottoms, rich and juicy French-cut Lamb Chops with Mint Pesto and Seasonal Vegetables, a decadent French Cheese Platter and intoxicating Crêpes Suzette.

So often during the holidays, the time flies by and the calendar fills up before we know what's happened. There are so many events to attend and people to see...it's impossible to do it all. Slow down and spend an evening with your friends at In Good Taste. Gather the group together and set the date; you won't regret it. You'll have an evening filled with the best of company- with nothing to do but simply eat, drink, and make merry. This would be a great occasion to socialize with neighbors, your gourmet group, extended family, or even coworkers.   You won't have to lift a finger, or even think about doing the dishes!

Take a break from the blur of the holiday season and pamper yourself with a cooking class. Laugh with your friends, raise your glass to the good food, and simply enjoy. After you've had caviar and champagne, the stress of December will fade away.

The class will held Saturday December 13 at 6:30 PM at the Pearl District location of In Good Taste.

About Dan Brophy

Dan Brophy is a Certified Executive Chef and a Certified Culinary Educator. He is an edible inner tidal specialist and has been a Master Gardener since 1992. Dan is also a mushroom forager and a grower and supplier of edible flowers, trick vegetables, herbs, fruits, wild mushrooms, and brown eggs. He is currently an instructor at Oregon Culinary Institute and teaches regularly for In Good Taste.
