by Calendar Girl
Event Date: 12/05/2008 12:00 PM

Marking the 75th Anniversary of the 21st Amendment's ratification, Repeal Day , on December 5th celebrates the end of Prohibition.

In honor of this diamond day, the Pearl District hot spot 50 Plates will offer a Manhattan cocktail tasting featuring the classic Applejack Manhattan, Rye Manhattan, and Bourbon Manhattan for $9.00. A mini flight of these Manhattan cocktails will be offered for $9, or $3 individually.

Repeal Day drinks specials are available from noon to close.

The current cocktail list at 50 Plates showcases their creative implementation of vintage cocktails. With references to the date of origin, the compilation features many classics, and a few soon-to-be classics created by star bartenders Suzanne Allard and Lance Mayhew.
