Soft Cover Coptic Bound Book Workshop

by shooter
Event Date: 12/14/2008 10:00 AM
Event Location: Oblation Papers and Press, 516 NW 12th Avenue

Learn to make an elegant, soft-covered book. One of the oldest binding methods known, the Coptic bound book lies flat when opened and has an attractive exposed spine and stitching. Choose from a selection of decorative papers or leather for your cover, and then sew your book together with coordinating or contrasting colored thread using the medieval link stitch. Experience with sewing or needle is helpful but not required.

Instructor: Rory Sparks

Fee: $85
