JAW: A Playwrights Festival

JAW: A Playwrights Festival is Portland Center Stage's developmental festival of new work for the stage. For two crazy weeks, from July 8-20, JAW: A Playwrights Festival takes over the Armory, inside and out. It's our tenth anniversary, and we're pulling out all the stops to celebrate. Our You Are There presentations will spill into the streets. The popular Theater Fair will take on a fresh twist. Promising Playwrights will offer new works created especially for the Festival. Our anniversary kick-off event will draw on playwrights from the full span of JAW's ten fabulous years to create a Commission! Commission! event open to all for the first time.

And as always, we'll present spanking new works in progress that will explode your expectations of what live performance can do.

Special for you: admission is FREE FREE FREE. But you can't reserve your spot; all seats are first come, first served. Just be there and be open to some of the most boundary-crossing, genre-busting work in America today. Your presence makes it all happen.
