TBA Round Up Round Up

tba-day-1 Most publications have their TBA picks, highlights, or complete guides.  There's lots of good info out there, so I thought I'd round up all the TBA round ups I could find. Now, you can make an informed decision about what you want to see!

The Portland Mercury's Destination Fun is a list of highlights for the next few days, and their amazingly thorough guide to the entire festival is one of the best resources out there.

The Portland Tribune talks about Mike Daisey and Kenny Mellman and Bridget Everett .

The Oregonian mentions Antony and the Johnsons (we are going to that tonight and are VERY excited about it) and Neal Medlyn (who is hysterical).  Here's a link to our previous post about Neil along with a link to a video.  Brian Libby talks about visual artists at TBA. 

Willamette Week's T.B.Ah-ha! is their highlight list, including that important list of FREE events.

Get Ready Volunteers...TBA:08 is on the way!

pica-volunteers Immediate Volunteer Opportunity! THE WORKS/LEFTBANK THE WORKS space for TBA:08 is ready for a transformation. We will begin build out next week and are looking for a few good men and women to help us in this process. This is the first of many volunteer opportunities to help you start accruing hours toward your festival pass. When: July 21st & 22nd, 10am - 5pm each day

THE WORKS INFORMATION
The 2008 Time-Based Art Festival (TBA:08) marks the return of the late night den of provocative music, theatre, cabaret, and other delights otherwise known as THE WORKS. Along with all the wee hour events, this year's edition will also open in the daylight hours, playing host to the Visual Art Program of exhibitions and installations. The entire WORKS hullabaloo will be held at the newly developed Leftbank Project .

TBA Volunteers Needed!!!

tba08-volunteer HELLO PICA VOLUNTEERS! TBA:08 is quickly approaching! Volunteers are essential to making TBA the outstanding Festival that it is. By sharing your valuable time and energy, you can earn performance tickets, passes and our endless appreciation. There will be many volunteer opportunities throughout the festival but for those of you interested in obtaining hours throughout the summer months, build out for THE WORKS space will begin very soon. We would love your help! Volunteers that are interested in assisting with build out must be flexible with hours and have the ability to lift, carry and schlep various supplies and tools within a warehouse environment. When: July through August (specific dates and times are yet to be determined)
