My First Portland Jazz Funeral
by the nice brian
This past weekend I attended my first Jazz Funeral. My good friends Mary Anna and Fabian buried their youth.
Their Jazz Funeral started from their Old Town Chinatown Loft in a sad and somber tone and paraded to the waterfront with accompaniment of
Transcendental Brass Band. After a private ceremony filled with emotion, tears, and rain, we kicked up our heels and celebrated into the night!

This was my first Jazz funeral too! I loved it, all of us marching down to the river to throw the ashes of youth and mourn the passing of our perkies! Then on to listen to some fabulous music, drink more than we should and eat great food. WHAT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!!
