Event Location: Newmark Theatre, 1111 SW Broadway
BadBoys2 A sensation at last summer's Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Bad Boys of Dance was founded in 2007 by Rasta Thomas, one of the dance world's brightest and most heralded young artists, to showcase the best male dancers working today. Winner of numerous honors and awards, Thomas has danced with the Kirov Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem and Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. For Bad Boys of Dance, Thomas has assembled a company of seven superb male dancers from the worlds of ballet, modern, Broadway and even TV ("So You Think You Can Dance"), with the objective of pushing the boundaries of male dancing and dissolving the aesthetic borders that separate contemporary dance from popular culture.
